The Third International Workshop on Sensor Networks for Intelligence Gathering and Monitoring (SNIGM 2013) in conjunction with ANT 2013.
June 25-28, 2013
Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA
CALL FOR PAPERS
The availability of a large variety of sensor devices, allows wireless sensor networks to be exploited in different fields using different approaches. Applications that rely on continuous, 24×7 monitoring are critical in the application areas such as the following:
* Emergency Response
* Umanned Vehicles
* Homeland security
* Public safety
One major challenge faced in these applications is the interaction between the monitoring system and the human subjects who are part of the system itself.
The goal of this workshop is to provide a forum to share and discuss among researchers the different applications and approaches for continuous, 24x7monitoring using wireless sensor networks. We are soliciting papers describing original research on both theoretical and
practical aspects of sensor networks for continuous monitoring. We particularly welcome submissions that present design, implementation and deployment results that take into account the effort to run the systems with low or minimum energy consumption.
Papers should contain original work and not be published or currently submitted for review elsewhere. Manuscripts are limited to 6 pages.
Paper submission will be performed using EasyChair. Please see the Paper Kit section on the ANT 2013 conference website for more details.
All papers accepted for workshops will be included in the ANT-2013 proceedings, which will be published online by Elsevier Science in the open-access Procedia Computer Science series. Procedia Computer Sciences is hosted on www.Elsevier.com and on Elsevier content platform ScienceDirect , and will be freely available worldwide. All papers in Procedia will also be indexed by Scopus and Engineering Village (Ei). This includes EI Compendex. All accepted papers will also be indexed in DBLP.
The authors must follow Elsevier guidelines as given in ANT-2013 Website. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to
register and attend the conference to present the work. Selected outstanding papers presented at the workshops will, after further revision, be considered for publication in journals special issues.
Submission Deadline: *December 16, 2012*
Author Notification: January 18, 2013
Final Manuscript Due: February 8, 2013
