SAYME Wireless Sensor Networks -a Spanish company who has develop his own WSN technology based on IEEE 8021.15.4-, has recently launched a new device that allows to to simplify the infrastructure required to manage the information obtained by the WSN due to it avoids the need of PCs of servers.
This device, called smartMASTER, is formed by a MASTER –a concentrator node device by SAYME- integrated into a special router with openWRT operating system that incorporates both the database and the software pack for the management and display of the information. It offers TCP/IP direct connectivity by Ethernet, WiFi or 3G and the chance to expand internal storage memory through a USB port. The smartMASTER provides local and remote access to configure the WSN and to manage and display the information through an easy Web interface from any Internet browser.
SAYME is a Spanish firm focused on the development of technology of ultra-low power wireless systems for the distributed monitoring of any kind of sensor: from the selection of the sensor that best solves client’s requirements, the design of its conditioning electronic, and its integratation into their low power consumption wireless technology.
In order to complete the technology chain, they also offer a SCADA Web application for monitoring and controlling that manages the information with number tables and graphics. This technology, called SENSbee, allows to create monitoring and controlling custom-made applications in numerous fields of different sectors of the market.
